Dim Sum and Us
Dim Sum. We love it, but what is it?
Dim sum is the collective name for a meal made up of small, fried or steamed Chinese dishes, dating back to tenth century Cantonese tea houses. Although dim sum is delicious in any scenario, the real enjoyment is in the style of eating it. Similar to the way that the Spanish eat tapas, the dishes are shared among family and friends, making it an experience, not just a meal.
We love dim sum but we wanted to make it easier for more people to enjoy it at home. You shouldn't have to go out to a restaurant to enjoy the dim sum experience and those little dumplings don't do so well on the back of a takeaway driver's scooter - they want to get in your bellies fresh from the steamer!
So we're here to knock pasta off its perch and get the UK eating dim sum every week!
